Ingrid Picanyol Studio.

Ingrid Picanyol (Torelló, 1988) works in visual, oral, and written communication. Her practice is defined by a personal gaze that combines visual sensitivity, lateral thinking, and a certain taste for caprice and controlled delirium.

She began her studies at the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny de Vic, a public art school that shaped her commitment to creativity and critical thinking.

In 2013, she founded her own studio in Barcelona, from where she leads internationally recognized projects. She works with clients and collaborators from around the world, developing projects of all scales that align with her way of working and her way of engaging with her surroundings. The studio’s philosophy is grounded in deeply understanding each client’s needs and creating ad hoc proposals for each assignment — visually innovative, inclusive, and kind to the future.

Ingrid’s work has been recognized with around twenty FAD Laus Awards —in categories such as identity, packaging, typography, poster, and web— as well as an ADCE Silver Award in identity, granted by the Art Directors Club of Europe.

Since 2021, she has combined her professional practice with teaching at Escola Massana in Barcelona, where she lectures in the Art and Design Degree. In parallel, she explores writing as a natural extension of her creative universe and is currently pursuing the official Master’s degree in Philosophy for Contemporary Challenges.

She believes that designing is a way of observing and relating to the world: a process that moves between precision, intuition, and the emotion of discovering unexpected paths.

“Modern, creative, passionate. Three more than obvious attributes shared by 27 87 and Ingrid. In other words, our collaboration was destined to succeed!!! Her keen eye for details and ability to analyse each project from a global angle has been crucial to integrate our story-telling into a visual piece of art.”

Romy Kowalewski, 27 87's Founder
“We wanted to turn the visual communication of the festival upside down and Ingrid made this possible. She and her team were able to clearly transmit how the Mountain Film Festival is much more than a film exhibition, but to became a global cultural activity.”

Joan Salarich, Torelló Mountain Film Director
"Ingrid retains from punk the drive, the joy, the taste for apparent simplicity, and the resistance to being labeled. It especially perplexes her that, in this era of liquid identities, there are those who insist on assigning such closed and reductionist labels to their work as "design with love," "with a gender perspective," or "sustainable." Picanyol (35 years old) has nothing against affection, feminism, or ecology, but she perceives in her designs another series of ingredients that she hopes will not go unnoticed: "I think there's a rather peculiar sense of humor there, very much mine, a certain way of looking at and understanding the world, and also a dose of lateral thinking, caprice, and delirium."

Miquel Echarri, El Pais Semanal Magazine
“"Ingrid’s studio has delivered a beautiful interpretation of Fitia. It is not only good-looking, it is also tender and rich. It was a very nice journey while discovering and designing the brand on her side. Expectations were met and exceeded thanks to her involvment.”

Shanice Rakotonindraina, Fitia's Founder
